Merry Christmas Friends

Let me start by saying how much you all mean to me. Being creative has freed me to be a better person and I am so happy that I get to share that with all my stamping and scrapping friends.
Now here's a poem that has been circulating around lately, but it is so me! Enjoy and have a very Merry Christmas!

'Twas The Night Before Christmas
'Twas the night before Christmas,I'm glued to the tree.I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.Could it be card stockor chipboard or lace? Or a Cricut, I said, with a smile on my face. And that's when I heard him,"Hi Santa!" I said.
"You know, good little girls should be in their beds."
"I know I should Santa. And now I've been caught,'Cause I'm so excited to see what you brought!"
"Well, let's take a look in this room where you work." He shook his head quickly,And left with a jerk.I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear:"You've got enough crap, I'll see you next year!"

What you can do with a 2.50 container

I had a gift to put together last night so I went to work stamping and punching. I used the snowflake from Season of Joy and stamped with Tempting Turquoise on Whisper white. Then I punched them out, added some Orchid Opulence paper behind, then finished it off with a scalloped circle of Tempting Turquoise or Pacific Point. Here's what I ended up with...

Then, while the kids were at pep band, I found this little container at a local dollar type store for 2.50. I added a band of Tempting Turquoise with Whisper White. I stamped snowflakes from the Snow Swirled set in Tempting Turquoise, Orchid Opulence, and Pacific Point. Here's what this part looked like...

Then I added a pretty stamped top to it. Here is a picture of that.

I hope you enjoyed this quick little project. Try it out if you need a quick gift for this holiday season. I think I will start keeping peppermint patties stashed around the house. This would be a great gift for any season. By the way, this little container holds about 1 1/2 bags of peppermint patties.
I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hey There!

Hi everyone! It has been crazy at our house lately. Nothing special just the day to day life that we lead. Jacob has been taking driver's training and the other kids have their activities that keep me running the roads and ferrying them here and there. I love car time with the kids though, it really seems to be a time when we can connect with one another and catch up.
OK, I just wanted to take a minute to post my upcoming classes. I hope that you are able to make it to one or all of them.
June 4th from 6:30-8:30 Card Class
June 11th is Technique class from 6:30-??
June 25th eSCAPE into summer class 6PM There will be a special tea for my June hostesses from 4-6 be sure to call soon and book your workshop.
June 28th Open "studio" night - I put studio in quotes because I use the term very loosely! We will be working in my garage around the ping pong table! BUT the fellowship will be great!
Call me for details on any of these classes. I will be posting pictures soon.
In Ink~

I'm still here!

Boy, time has flown by! With work and family and everything else, I have kind of let the blog thing slide. I will work on that!

Any way... here's some things I've been working on.

This is the "Save the Date" cards I have been working on. They were a lot of fun to do. I really love the Embrace Life set.
The camping scene is the front of our family camping notebook. We just got our camper up to the house. I am so ready to go camping!
Well, just wanted to check in and let you know that I'm still around. Looking forward to chatting with you again soon.

Lunar Eclipse and a New Card

This is a picture of the moon the other night. This was taken just before the eclipse started! Isn't it amazing.

This is a card I did up for my rub on class this last week. It uses the bulk rub ons that are available to SU demos. The rub ons are fun and easy to use, and I'm not a rub on person!
Enjoy!

Getting Ready for Valentine's Day

Here are some cards I have been working on for Valentine's Day. The card with the large heart is one I CASEd from Lori Davis. Thank you! I made it a 6x6 card and used the Baroque Motif set to stamp inside the heart.

The mouse and elephant are from the Happy Heart Day set. These were fun to do because of the bright and cheerful colors. I love this set!
Today it is really cold out and the wind is blowing really hard. A perfect day to stay home and drink hot chocolate! YUM!
Enjoy the cards.

Snow Day

Well, we got dumped on here last night again. Sooooo... snow day for me and the kiddos! Our winter has been crazy here, like it was in the "olden" days!

I take snow days as days that are free for me to stamp and scrap! My current challenge is what I call "Usin' Up My Scraps!" Here are some cards I did using "leftovers" from classes and other projects. Enjoy!

I'm Still Here...

Well, it is good to be back. Life can sure be crazy at times. I keep waiting for it to calm down and it just doesn't. Here are some things I've been working on...
Here are a couple of my Flip-Flop cards. I'm not sure if that is the "official" title, but that is what I call them. I did the one on the left and another similar one for my nephews birthdays. I am going to slip a gift card inside for them to "take their dad out to eat". They just turned 7 and are sooooo cute. The one on the right was for my mother in laws birthday. She is such a great lady. She helped me out so much when the kids were younger. I owe her A LOT!
I hope you have enjoyed looking.
