DCBD Color Challenge

This is my first DCBC Color Challenge as a Diva! I am so excited. Our challenge was to use Green Galore, Tempting Turqoise, Basic Gray, and Whisper White. Well, I am longing for the warmer weather so this color combo was just what I needed!

This card uses the Bugs and Kisses set that is now dormant, but it's still available for purchase. I just love this set with all these bright colors. This one is going to my friend, Patty who just loves this set.

Ahhh, Dreams du Jour... Let's see my dream for the day would be warm weather. I think winter has worn out its welcome.

This is a card that my dear daughter did using the Bugs and Kisses set. She wanted to do the color challenge with me. I think she is going to be quite the stamper in the future. She is 12 right now and loves to stamp and scrapbook. She is at that age where taking risks is easy for her.
Now it's your turn. Try out this gorgeous color combination, guarnteed to warm you up! Send me a link to your card so I can check them all out. Don't forget to check out all the other Divas at Diva's Coffee Break Design Team.
Creatively Yours!
Chris

What a Day!

Today was one of those days that leaves you breathless...
First, I had my first downline group meeting. We decorated notebooks so we can take notes, discussed what we wanted in our meetings, made a cute picture frame, and ate some yummy paczkis...
My next adventure was buying a new washing machine. My old one bit the dust and with 6 of us in the house, it was very important we not go too long without a washer. So we headed out, in a snow storm, to pick one up.
We got back home, hooked the baby up and realized it needs a special kind of laundry soap, so back into the blizzard for laundry soap...sigh.
But the BEST news of all today is.... I am a new Diva over at Diva's Coffee Break Designs. I am so excited and nervous. I am on a design team and with some very creative ladies. I will have to stay on my A game to keep up. I look forward to designing with these ladies and bringing you new inspiration.

New Catalog Open House

I just realized that I hadn't shared any pictures from the event I went to last week. So here they are....

This is a card I did for splitcoaststampers.com Monday's challenge (TLC207). It was the try a new technique challenge. Not my favorite technique - cutting around an embossed image - but I do like to challenge myself and try new things.
I am going to try to do the SCS challenges more faithfully, but I will be about a week behind! Oh well, better late than never, I always say.
Yesterday we took a family trip to Cabela's! Oh man, what a place! We had the best time just looking around and hanging out together as a family. Although, now I have the itch to get out camping...BAD. Here's hoping spring will be here soon.
Have a great day, and make everyday valentine's day! Tell your loved ones you love them EVERY day.

Hi all! These are a couple of cards I did for the Sparkpeople Stamping to Lose group challenge for LAST week. I am a little behind.

This card needed to have a little sparkle so I pulled out the glitter, and you know how I LOVE glitter. It was everywhere! Oh well, my kids and husband have come to expect a little sparkle after I have been stamping.

I LOVE this card. The colors came from a challenge from my friend Kelly. I love them. When I started, my thought was "what was she thinking?" But, she knows her stuff.
Enjoy!

A Card to Share

Well, today Kelly and I went to a New Catalog/Sale-a-bration open house. It was a day full of stamping, swapping, learning, and just down right fun. I will be down loading some pictures in the next couple of days... Stay tuned.
In the meantime, here is a card to tide you over~

This is a card I did awhile ago, but I think it is my favorite. I love this image of a big old oak tree. It looks so sturdy and dependable. This is from the Lovely as a Tree set.
