Su's new wood sheets
Well, here they are! Wood Sheets, how cool is that? This is actually a thin sheet of wood adhered to a piece of cardstock. I use the Top Note die in my Big Shot to cut this out and the 1 1/4" punch for the little circle in the corner. It cut so nicely. For the image, I just used Chocolate Chip Classic ink. There was no running or bleeding. I thought the Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie cardstock set this manly card off nicely.
Let's see what you can do with SU's wood sheets!

A Fond Farewell
This is a card I did for the Stamping to Lose challenge over at Sparkpeople.com! The challenge was to use one stamped image. I the used Dreams du Jour set which I stamped using Pacific Point ink. This is one of the "In-Colors" that will be retiring at the end of June. My cardstock is also all in the retiring In-Colors! I used Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point and Riding Hood Red! I love this color combo and will be sad to see these colors go.

DCBD Challenge #127
OK, here is our fantastic sketch for today. Isn't this cool. I just love doing sketches. Remember, they don't have to be exactly like this. The sketch is just a jumping off point. I reversed the sentiment and the embellishment. Here is what I came up with...
OK, here is how I made this:
Card stock: Naturals Ivory, Bravo Burgandy, Apricot Appeal, Very Vanilla and Mellow Moss.
I used Bravo Burgandy Ink
Stamp Set: All Holidays
Accessories: Star Punch and 1 3/8" circle punch
Now it's your turn. Get out there and create a card. Down load it to your blog or a gallery and then head over to the Diva's Blog. There use Mr. Linky to attach your card to share it with us all! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I Got Mail!!
This is a birthday card from dear Mom! Isn't it pretty?
This card is from my downline, Kelly. She is so talented, and she just started stamping about a year ago. This card is so cute, I love the colors and everything. Thanks Kelly!
I received this card from one of the Late Night Stampers! This is a fantastic Yahoo group if you are looking for great ideas and friendship. Anyway, this card comes from Janis! I just love the colors!
One thing that I have realized this week is that getting cards in the mail rocks! I'm going to send some cards out to my friends on a more regular basis. I challenge you to do the same. You will be amazed by how great it makes others feel.

Hi Stampers! It is time for the weekly DCBD challenge. This weeks challenge is to use the Big Shot! I love this thing!
Here's what I came up with. Actually this is a CASE from my downline, Kelly! Thanks Kelly for the great idea!
<
This card features the Sunshine Gardern Simply Scrappin' Kit. I love using these kits to make cards, but I never do! Guess it's time to shake things up! I used a base of So Saffron and Certainly Celery ink. I also used a clear rhinestone brad in the center of the flower.
Stamp sets used are Petal Pizzazz and All Holidays.
OK, now it is your turn. Go make a card using the Big Shot, post it on your blog or a gallery, and then go to the Diva's blog and post it using Mr. Linky. Come on, it'll be fun!!!

Pardon me for a moment...
This is my #2 son, Damion. He is usually at the back of the band so I never get a picture of him. They are in the sight reading portion and the parents sat behind the band. I wasn't supposed to take a picture, so I snuck it...Shhhh!
This is Joshua, playing his clarinet. He is so focused. Sorry about the blurry picture.
And here is Miss Olivia, tooting on her flute.
Here is the Gladwin Jr. High School Band on stage at State Festival yesterday. They earned a 1 overall. The highest rating they could get. I am so proud of these kids!
Thanks for letting a proud band mom brag on her kids a bit! I'll be back with some stamping sooon.

What? It's Wednesday already???
Here is the DCBD challenge for this week, and here is what I came up with! This was a hard challenge for me as these colors are a stretch for me. They brought to mind... coloring books! So I made a cute little coloring book. Don't forget to go to the Diva's website and check out their creations for the week. Play along with us, too! Who knows when there might be blog candy...
I used the stamp set Under the Stars. I love this set and made a little 5 page coloring book out of it. I used the "matchbook" type fold to put this together.
NOTE TO DEMOS: I thought this would be an awesome thing to carry in my purse. When I see a cranky little one at a resturaunt I could hand this to the mom or dad. Of course, my SU information would be on the back of it. I used to carry little cars and things in my purse for my own kiddos and this is what sparked this idea. Let me know what you think!!
